OK toberfest at t’station

Greetings – another very busy time at the station.

Thanks everyone who helped spreading the word about the community consultation for the station building.

The responses have all been collected by the Consultants who are expecting to present the Trustees with their recommendations in a few weeks time.

In the meantime, a Charitable Incorporated organisation has been registered for – The Station Building, Mytholmroyd (1174609)

Objectives include a Hub for the benefit of all the local community and an element of local history.

Some photos attached of our annual Twinning event with our friends from Bentham station.

Super photos by our friend Paul Bigland – taking a break from his usual photo commissions from the international railways.

Super guests – from the Queen’s representative Chris Harris, Pat Fraser our local town Mayor, Railway and Community managers and leaders – and not forgetting the ‘army’ of Pie and Peas makers and our own volunteers complete with their cake-making skills.

A fantastic event – thank you everyone and just want we wanted showing how community rail – CAN BE FUN !!!

Next meeting will be at the Shoulder of Mutton on Tuesday 10 October – agenda to follow.

Hope to bring back some Awards from the national Community Rail event in Derby this week.

Why not join our happy, friendly team?

Just preparing our 2018 plans for even more community involvement in our village railway station
