Time for some refreshment over at the Shoulder……….

Another Thriving year for our happy team

After a scrumptous lunch at York Racecourse, Deputy Chairman George and Shirley came back with another Yorkshire in Bloom award.

Well done everyone who braved the Mytholmroyd Monsoons and to all our sponsors and supporters.

Then Sue, George and I found our passports and went across the frontier to Llandudno for the annual Association of Community Rail Partnerships dinner.

Mytholmroyd  was nominated THREE times – once for the new Montage on Platform 2 and for two  photos of the group and local school sponsors.

We did not get an award but enjoyed the company of the new Northern Rail MD, Alex Hynes , and Stakeholder Manager, Drew Haley – support  from whom resulted in our Yorkshire friends at Bentham station getting  the top gong.

These occasions remind us how lucky we are to have the backing from a company like Northern Rail and  the managers.

Mosaic turns into Community Display

The wonderful Northern Mosaic produced by the students from calder High school finally surcumbed to the Pennine weather up on Platform Two.

We have replaced it with a Display celebrating all the voluntary work and support we have received over the years.

Hope you like it
