Our own MBEEEEEs

No,  not those sort who want to protect their coverted fox-hunting in the Chilterns from the evil High Speed Rail Mk2.

Paul and Mary richly deserve to have been done at the Palace –

they have contributed so much towards the community stations that we now have in the Calder Valley.

Visitors to t’Royd – welcome !

It always nice to be able to show visitors around the station – especially those who remember it when it was a vandalised wreck.

How the local community has changed the railway station, surrounding area and not forgetting the Memorial gardens and village cross.

Out of the blue, we welcomed the Chief Executive of the national passenger watchdog – Anthony Smith of the Passenger Focus.

We sometimes forget what a lovely place we live in – as Anthony said – ‘I was very impressed by what you have been doing – I will come back with the family one day!’
